A Thousand A Month: David Hurley in Conversation with Alex Nordach 7/7

Video Transcript

David: …but I haven’t watched a soccer match at home for a long time, because I now feel it’s more valuable, I value my time more when I’m blogging or doing something for my business than watching a football match. I go out far less than I used to. I’ve become almost – not anti-social, I like going out but not as sociable as I used to be. I used to be the sociability yes-man. I’d say yes to every party invitation. I’d be there and I’d be the last to leave in many cases, whereas now I spend more time in my room working on my business than any of theother stuff put together I think.

Alex: And I think that a lot of that is just what you get used to, it’s a habit.

David: It is a habit, yes.

Alex: Watching TV, if you’re used to coming home from work, eating something and then flopping down on your sofa and you know clicking theTV on, that’s what you’re gonna do nine times out of ten.

David: I mean, I must admit, I don’t watch TV but I do get distracted by YouTube videos … on my computer supposedly working and I do sometimes – or Facebook draws me in or something.

Alex: Yeah, yeah, it’s not like your an automaton or anything like that.

David: Indeed, indeed.

Alex: But the point is just that if you get in the habit ofdoing something every day, that habit just in and of itself will tend to persist until you get the job done.

David: Yes, yes. Okay, I think we’ve pretty much covered it.

Alex: Yeah, I think that.

David: …what we wanted to for today. So folks, I hope we’ve given you some value to take away and hop over to thousandamonth.com and check out the book if you haven’t already got a copy. If you have any questions you can contact me at any time on any one of my blogs via the contact page – there’s always a contact page – and I’ll get back to you. Okay, thanks Alex.

Alex: Well, I appreciate that. I just want to say if you wantto go to the targettendonitis.com page that’s the one that I have, the main one that I have, for support of my ebook. Feel free to go in there and take a look around to see how I’ve set it up. There are quite a few things in there, there’s a contact page, there is a test that is – we talked about having a test on your website to generate more customer engagement and to increase your conversions – you can see I set that up. It’s totally free. It takes about aminute to look through that and to see how it works. And there’s no, you know no upsell or anything like that. If you don’t have tendon pain, I’m not gonna trying to sell you anything, so feel free to go through and look at it to see how it’s set up and maybe get you can some ideas from that.

David: Okay, thank you very much Alex.
